Magnetic Wall Decals — Limited Return Policy

Because our magnetic wall decals rely on proper installation and wall compatibility, this product follows a limited return policy. Please read carefully before purchasing.

Unopened and unused wall decals may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund to your original payment method.

  • The decal must be new, unused, and in its original packaging.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • If you added Checkout+ (Free Limited Returns + Package Protection), your unopened wall decal return shipping will be covered.

Once the backing has been removed or the decal has been installed, it has been considered used and cannot be returned.

Due to the nature of adhesive-backed products, decals that have been:

  • installed,
  • removed from the liner,
  • partially applied,
  • handled in a way that exposes the adhesive to dust, debris, oils, or wall texture, cannot be returned or refunded.

Installed decals cannot be resold and often reflect surface conditions outside our control.

Because wall surfaces and paint types vary widely, we cannot guarantee adhesion on every surface.

Archie performs best on smooth walls painted with latex-based paint.

It is not compatible with oil-based paints, textured surfaces, stain-resistant paints, or air-purifying paints.

Do not install on freshly painted walls—wait at least 30 days after painting.

If you are unsure whether your walls are compatible, we strongly encourage testing with a free sample before installing your full decal. Email your address and preferred color to support@thetypesetco.com to request samples.

We stand behind the quality of our products. If you believe your decal is defective, please contact us within 30 days of delivery so we can evaluate your claim.

To assess the issue, our support team will request:

  1. Photos/video of the decal and adhesive backing
  2. Photos of the wall surface (zoomed out and close-up)
  3. Confirmation of paint type (latex or oil-based) and wall texture
  4. Confirmation that the wall was cleaned and completely dry before installation
  5. Whether the decal was removed or repositioned after initial application
  6. The date the decal was installed and when the issue appeared

After reviewing your submission, we may offer a refund, replacement, or store credit at our discretion, depending on the nature of the issue.

Please note: many adhesion issues result from wall texture, paint type, or installation technique rather than product defects. Our evaluation process allows us to determine the correct next step on a case-by-case basis.

The Type Set Co. is not responsible for damage to walls or paint that may occur during installation, use, or removal of the decal.

Customized, discounted, or clearance decals are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange.
