Shipping policy

At The Type Set Co., we pack every order with care and ship as quickly as possible. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about shipping, processing times, Checkout+ benefits, and how we handle returns, damaged items, and international orders.


Processing Times

Most in-stock orders ship within 2–3 business days. During busy seasons, processing may take slightly longer.

We are closed on weekends, U.S. federal holidays, and additional company-observed holiday breaks (such as the days surrounding Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s). Orders placed during these closures will begin processing on the next business day.

Custom, personalized, and pre-order items will ship according to the timeline listed on the product page.


Shipping Methods & Transit Times

We ship via USPS, UPS, and FedEx, depending on size and weight.
Carrier transit times vary by location and method selected.

Please note: carrier delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may be impacted by weather, volume, or carrier delays.


Order Changes & Cancellations

Email support@thetypesetco.com within 24 hours to request changes.
After 24 hours:

  • Cancellations may incur a 3% processing fee

  • Orders that have already shipped cannot be cancelled and will be treated as a return


Shipping Confirmation & Tracking

You will receive a tracking email as soon as your order ships.
If you haven’t received tracking within 3 business days, please check your spam folder or contact us.


Lost, Delayed, or Stolen Packages

Once a package is handed to the carrier, it is in the carrier’s custody.

If you purchased Checkout+ at checkout:

Checkout+ includes package protection, which covers:

  • Lost packages

  • Damaged packages

  • Stolen packages

Claims must be submitted through the Checkout+ portal.

If you did not purchase Checkout+:

We will help you gather information to file a claim with the carrier, but replacement decisions are made case-by-case.


Damaged or Missing Items

If your order arrives damaged or incomplete, please contact support@thetypesetco.com within:

  • 5 business days for missing pieces

  • 7 business days for damaged items

Please include:

  • Order number

  • Photos of packaging

  • Photos of the items

We may replace missing/damaged components rather than the full product.
If you prefer a refund instead of a replacement part, your request will follow our standard return policy.


Incorrect Address Policy

Customers are responsible for entering correct shipping information at checkout.

If an order is returned due to an incorrect or undeliverable address:

  • Additional shipping fees will apply to reship

  • Original shipping charges cannot be refunded


International Shipping

We ship worldwide. Please be aware:

  • Duties, taxes, VAT, and import fees are not included in your order total

  • These fees are determined by your country and are the customer’s responsibility

  • Refused, unclaimed, or restricted items returned to us cannot be refunded

International and custom orders are final sale.


Pre-Orders

If your order includes pre-order items and in-stock items:

  • Your order may ship when all items are ready, or

  • You may request separate shipments for an additional fee

Estimated pre-order ship dates may change due to manufacturing or supply delays.

Return eligibility depends on whether Checkout+ was purchased at checkout.

If you purchased Checkout+:

Checkout+ includes free returns for eligible items.
The following items are not eligible for free returns:

  • Final sale items

  • Personalized or custom items

  • International orders

  • Used, assembled, or not-in-original-packaging items

All Checkout+ returns must be submitted through the Checkout+ portal.

If you did NOT purchase Checkout+:

Customers are responsible for return shipping.
Return requests must be submitted within 7 business days of delivery.

Items must be:

  • Unused

  • Unassembled

  • In original packaging

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.


Holiday Shipping

Carrier delays are common during holidays.
We recommend placing holiday orders early to ensure timely arrival.
