We love the idea of New Year’s resolutions, but admittedly, we feel that resolutions can often fall to the wayside because they are most commonly declared just once at the beginning of each year and then forgotten. Don’t get us wrong, we are all about setting (and achieving) goals, but what if we looked at every day as an opportunity to make a new resolution instead of every turning of the year?
Similar to setting an intention for the day, perhaps we should start a new trend of setting a resolution for each day. No harm in that, we say! We love the idea of thinking of each day as a new beginning, full of new possibilities. Plus, setting a new intention daily allows for flexibility as personal goals shift and develop throughout the coming year.
If you want to think a little longer term, it’s important to set clear goals. The downfall of most goals is that they’re vague or hard to complete. Have you heard of setting S.M.A.R.T goals? It’s an acronym that guides you to set goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. If we’re going to have resolutions for the year, we definitely want the satisfaction of achieving them. There’s nothing like the feeling of checking off something from our list!
Whatever types of resolutions you’re setting this year - whether they’re about your career, personal growth, finances, or something else - we hope you learn and grow as you work towards them! 2022 is your year!
