It’s time to celebrate a day that’s important to many, here and in galaxies far, far away… Star Wars Day!

As you know by now, we’re self-proclaimed word nerds. We also claim nerd status when it comes to other things and one of those things is the classic sci-fi series, Star Wars. 

Is there anything more magical than a movie or book that transports you into a whole different world than the one in which we live? One that contains interesting and sometimes weird creatures, other languages and customs, and plenty of adventure? Maybe even a world where good and evil fight to the death using swords made of light, people can move things with their minds, humans and robots partner together, and the villain lives in a huge space station that destroys entire planets with a superlaser?

We’ll be immersing ourselves in the stories of Luke, Leia, Han Solo, and Chewbacca, plus the characters in the more recent films, like Rey and Kylo Ren. Even though we’ve seen it before, we’ll still be glued to the scenes of lightsaber fights, x-wing battles, and speed bike chases. We’ll soak up the wisdom of Yoda and Obi-Won. We’ll cheer when the good guys are victorious. And we’ll hold back tears when our favorite characters face hardships and even death.
